When pasting in information into the Note Pad section of a Person or Opportunity record you may be presented with an error message when saving the record.
If you are copying the entry from another application such as Outlook or MS Word you are also copying a large amount of html code. The character limit for the Note Pad section is 65,356 characters and is count of the actual html code. You can see the code by using the 'Source Code' icon.
Tables and images will dramatically increase the amount of html code being included. Try removing these if possible as a work around or paste the same information into a Note instead which has a large character limit of 120,000 characters.
Task Template disappears after saving
If you created your task template from another application, pasted the source code in Mercury and it disappears after saving, check that the HTML character count does not exceed 65,536 which is the character count limit for task template source code.
